Terms of Use — Fixera: Repair by Photo
Last updated: September 14, 2026
These terms apply to Fixera ("the app"), published by Krillo ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What the app does
You photograph something that broke — up to three pictures, and optionally a line describing the problem. The app identifies what the item appears to be, says what looks wrong with it, and either walks you through fixing it yourself or tells you to call a professional. Where it can, it also shows an approximate cost range for doing it yourself and for having it done.
Guidance is not a professional opinion
What Fixera shows is produced by an automated model from photos, and it can be wrong. It is a starting point for your own judgement, not an inspection, a diagnosis, or a promise that a repair will work. Nothing in the app is a guarantee of any outcome.
Cost figures are estimates. They are ranges of what a repair of that kind typically costs, not a quote, not an offer, and not a price anyone has agreed to charge you.
Safety comes before instructions. Where a repair involves mains electricity, electrics near water, a consumer unit, gas, a water heater or boiler, brakes, structural elements, work at height or on a roof, asbestos or a large area of mould, the app gives you no repair steps at all — deliberately, and not even partial ones — and tells you to call a qualified professional. If the app does show you steps, it is still your responsibility to judge whether the job is safe for you, to isolate power, water or gas before touching anything, and to comply with the rules that apply where you live: in many countries electrical and gas work may only be done by a certified tradesperson.
You are responsible for what you do with your own property. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage, injury or cost arising from a repair you attempted after using the app — including when the guidance turns out to be inaccurate.
Assumption of risk. No professional advice.
Fixera is not a substitute for a qualified tradesperson, an inspection or a professional opinion. What it shows is produced by an automated model from photographs; it can be wrong about the item, about the fault and about what to do, and it is a starting point for your own judgement rather than a decision you can hand over to us. If you act on it, you act at your own risk.
Before you touch anything you isolate the electricity, water or gas yourself, you check that the work is one you are competent to do, and you check that it is lawful for a person who is not certified to do it where you live. In many countries work on gas appliances, on fixed electrical installations and on vehicle braking systems may only be carried out by a certified tradesperson, and nothing the app shows you changes that.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for injury, loss, damage or cost arising from work you attempted after using the app, including where what the app showed you was inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and you are responsible for applying any instructions and for any resulting consequences.
Free repairs and Pro
The app includes a limited number of free diagnoses. Unlimited diagnoses are available with Fixera Pro. A daily cap applies even with Pro: it protects the service from abuse, and it is set high enough that ordinary use does not reach it.
Purchases, trial and billing
Fixera Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Google Play:
- Weekly — €7.99, starting with a 3-day free trial. You are not charged until the trial ends.
- Yearly — €44.99, no trial.
Prices are shown in your local currency inside the app before you confirm; the amounts above are the euro reference prices and may differ where Google Play converts them. Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm, and each period renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Cancelling. You can cancel anytime in Google Play → Subscriptions, or from Settings inside the app, which opens that page. After cancelling you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own policy. We do not charge you outside Google Play, and we never make cancellation harder than the steps above.
Price and feature changes
We may change prices or what is included in Pro. Changes never apply to a period you have already paid for, and a price change on renewal is announced by Google Play in advance, with the option to cancel.
Acceptable use
Use the app for items you can legally photograph. Do not attempt to access our scanning service outside the app, automate it, resell it, or work around its limits. We may block access that does this.
Availability and warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranty. Diagnosing depends on third-party services and an internet connection, so it may be unavailable or slow at times. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Privacy
What data the app handles — including what happens to the photos you send — is described in the Privacy Policy.
